Getting Ready to Travel

Today is get-ready-to-travel day. Do laundry. Shop for foods to eat in the car. Clean the bathroom for my friend who will be housesitting for us. We put together a box of pickles and salsa that we canned last fall. Mail has been put on hold and Bernie has worked out with the neighbor boy to cut the lawn while we are gone. Pack clothes. Southwest: hot.
So far I have been able to keep up with the blog while on trips. This is why the PC is so useful. Bernie is starting to like the games on my computer better than their counterparts on his. He’s moving into my territory!
Hopefully, my main guru-son, Chris, will have time for the long awaited tutorial. I have so many questions about the blog. One thing I would like to be able to do is put pictures on the blog. I don’t even have a pic of myself on my facebook. I am not so much concerned with a pic of me but sometimes it would be neat to put a picture of something I am writing about, like dandelion fuzz balls or grandchildren with dirty faces.
A friend gave us some novels to listen to in the car. What we have enjoyed in the past is history books or biographies. Often I have read them aloud to Bernie. I once read a book about Lincoln’s spirituality that was wonderful. Another was Howard Zinn’s history of America. These often lift the quality of the conversation between Bernie and I as we drive along.
Later, alligators….

  1. I am very much looking forward to the next blogging tutorial for you, Mom. Uploading photos is top on the list.

I think there is a typo in your post. You said you are bringing “a” box of pickles and salsa. Ha ha, that’s funny. I know there must be more than one box. He he. Good one.
