Today is kind of a grey day. I took a walk on the road from the resort out to the main road, which is about a mile long. A morning walk is for me either a celebration of joy already in me, or an exercise for an attitude adjustment. This morning it was the latter.
Some of the songs I have shared in my blogs serve the same purpose, either expressing my happiness or stirring it up when needed. Here is a happy song I like to sing with my grandchildren while I am driving along with them in my car. I like it because it invites them to come along and join me without being demanding in any way. It a good song for co-dependent people.
IT’S A LOVELY DAY TODAY
It’s a lovely day today
So whatever you’ve got to do
You’ve got a lovely day to do it in, that’s true
And I hope whatever you got to do
Is something that can be done by two
For I’d really like to stay.
It’s a lovely day today
And whatever you’ve got to do
I’d be so happy to be doing it with you.
But if you’ve got something that must be done
And it can only be done by one
There is nothing more to say
Except it’s a lovely day for saying
It’s a lovely day.
