This is a short piece from Joan Chittister’s book on aging, The Gift of Years.
“It may be cold today but, patience, it won’t be too long and the sun will return. The grandchild may be crying now, but she will smile again in the morning. The neighbors may be feuding with one another again, but they will get over it as they have so many times before. Whatever the many deaths of the day, resurrection is coming. We know that it will because – give it time – it always had before and it will now as well.”
Happy Easter!
Thank you for the beautiful piece, and Happy Easter to you also! Nancy K.
