Robin Hood of Pen

I am a kleptomaniac. I have a collection about a hundred pens around my house. Some are pretty lame, but some are executive quality. I am the reason stores have starting to put strings on their pens. Some tape big spoons which I prefer because it is like they are saying to me, “I know you don’t really mean to do it.” It is also the reason companies and organizations put their name and info on pens. They know the pens will be lifted; they might as well make the most of it and get a  little advertising out there. If it makes you feel any better about me, I also lose pens. I keep putting pens in my purse out of the bucket that sits on my counter and they eventually disappear from the purse.  I don’t know where they go but I hope they fall into the hands of people who need them. It would make me feel better, like a Robin Hood of pens.

  1. I read you every day and enjoy your posts! I obviously comment rarely, and only when it’s safe:) I love this post. I wonder if people who like to write are just naturally drawn to own pens, because I have at least 50 of them myself. Some unique, some from the Family Dollar that are cheap but colorful. I hope to meet you sometime at the writer’s group.

    1. Mary, I think there is a way for you to send a comment without it going out to other blog readers. I am not sure how to do that. I would love to have a conversation with you but I understand your hesitancy. I will check it out with my blog guru and put the info in a blog for you and for other guests.
