Graduations

Last night we attended our first grandchild graduation. Madison is not the first to graduate but the first whose graduation ceremony we attended. We were impressed by the fact that the little high school (40 graduates) of little Blackduck, MN, is in the top 10% ranking of best schools in Minnesota.

Earlier in the day our grandson graduated from elementary school and I saw the pictures on Facebook…he wore a cap and gown…yowza! Over the years, the traditional attire has narrowed down to high school and college grad ceremonies so I was pleased to see Charlie wearing cap and gown. I wore a cap and gown as I graduated from kindergarden…precious pictures like you wouldn’t believe. I am sorry Grandpa and I could not be in two places at the same time.

Congratulations, Charlie and Madison. Congratulations to granddaughter, Lydia, too, who will be graduating from high school in Colorado. Two grandchildren, Alicia and Alissa, are already out in the world making their marks. Watching grandchildren grow and spread their wings is the most joyful thing in our lives.
