Jackson on my Lap

Today Spring begins…on the calendar, anyway.

I am celebrating by returning to my ritual of greeting the sun each morning. Today, she hid behind a milky sheet. Only the blackbirds were doing any talking, though the woodpecker, chickadee and nuthatch were busy. Jackson and I sat inside watching out the porch door as they came to the feeder. We looked them up in my birdbook. He could have done this all morning. Now he wants me to print out his name…I think I need to move on. Now he is climbing on my lap…have to go.
