The American Flag Bikini

My granddaughter, Alissa, who lives in Australia with her husband Assad, posts some interesting things on Facebook that look at America from an outside persective…which Americans don’t like to do. I appreciate it when she does this. Today, “93 Wierd Things About the U.S. That Americans Don’t Realize are Weird”. I will have to get to the whole list later, but I glanced at one of the 93 which mentioned wearing American flags for bikini’s. I have wondered for a long long time why it is that it is considered disrespectful to let the flag touch the ground or to burn it no matter how worn out it is, yet wearing it as a bikini or as underwear is not. If something makes money, I guess respectability doesn’t matter.
