LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE
On Saturday, June 15, I will have the opportunity to present my book, The Memorial of Jesus at the Author Fest in Park Rapids, MN. Hosted by Beagle and Wolf Books & Bindery. The fair will be held 11 am to 3 pm at the American Legion, 900 1st St. E. Books store owner, Sally Wills told me that throughout the even, authors are invited to read from their work. If you are from the Park Rapids area or expect to be in that area on Saturday, be sure to stop by.
I have had a couple of requests to attend bible studies and small group discussions. i am thrilled to bring my book to readers using homes as a venue. I am willing to go to larger groups, as well, in a Church setting for example. I can do a presentation on any of the characters or themes depicted in The Memorial of Jesus and lead a discussion. When I went to the home of my friend, Ginny, she added a lunch and we had a great time.
MOST RECENT APPEARANCES
On Sunday, June 9, I had the opportunity to talk about my book at Mary Madeline First Apostle Church during their education forum following the mass. I was pleased to present to this very special community because their of the prominent role Mary plays in my book. I spent a little time telling them how my book came to be written, and then I read to them the story of John the apostle from the book. I had intended to read the story of Thomas, but I shifted gears when I realized that this was the feast of Penticost and that a passage from John’s gospel would be read at the mass. Only two among my listeners had read the book but it seemed that everyone had questions. People were curious about my research sources and even where I veered from the Biblical accounts. I hope more opportunities like this one will come in the future. Individuals who are looking for a speaker can contact me through my e-mail address: judyejeub@gmail.com.
On Saturday, November 24, I had the opportunity to appear at The Shoppes in Little Falls for a book signing. I couple. Owner Susie Prosapio suggested I return in the spring around Easter for another presentation. I am so grateful for The Shoppes and the way they support local artists including writers. Have to put a plug in here to shoppers…what a fantastic place to shop for gifts. When giving a gift I always put into the package a business from the artist and another from the Shoppes.
Thanks to Cherry Street Book in Alexandria, MN for the opportunity to share my book with the community on Saturday, November 10. The first snow of the season kept numbers of visitors low but conversations were so interesting. I am impressed by how many people come from towns where there may be large chain bookstores to support a privately owned book store like Cherry Street. The atmosphere there is so cozy and welcoming. The staff knows their inventory well and are quick to make recommendations.
A dear friend who was part of my Israel group two years ago recently hosted a party of her friends to introduce them to The Memorial of Jesus. The event took place on October 20. You can read about it in my blog:
On October 13, the Little Falls library hosted an event, “Around the County with Local Authors.” I was pleased to appear there with 5 other Morrison County writers to share our work with the local community.
RETREAT2WRITE
I had a wonderful opportunity to attend a writer’s retreat Thursday, October 4 -Sunday October 5. Designed and conducted by Elaine Koyama, it gave me an opportunity to focus and move forward with my next writing project. Elaine plans to repeat the retreat and offer the same opportunity to other writers. Read about my experience in my blog post:
UPCOMING APPEARANCES
On Saturday, October 20, I will be doing a book signing at the home of a woman who was among those I traveled with to Israel 3 years ago. She will be inviting other who were on that trip to hear about the book and will surely make an effort to reflect on the trip and how it influenced my book.
I am open to in-home opportunities to talk with groups about my book. I can talk about a variety of topics but especially enjoy highlighting a particular character that might relate to the people who attend, such as people in recovery or people who have suffered loss. You can find how to reach me on my contact page.

GREEN FAIR FESTIVAL
I had a great time Great River Writers at the 2018 Green Fair Festival on Wednesday, August 1. It was a cool, cloudy day but locals showed up because they have come to love this event put on each year by the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls. I was able to sell a few books and spend some time with my poet friend, Laura Hansen. Laura has several books published and is proving to be a great resource for me as I begin this new adventure. We will be attending the Northwoods Art and Book Festival together (info above) Those of you who reside in or are vacationing in MInnesota’s lake country, I hope to see you there where I will be featured along with many other writers and artists.
BOOK RELEASE PARTY
On Sunday, July 8, Tony’s 1st Ave Custom Framing & Furniture and Heijeu Book & Art Studio hosted the release party for Memorial. About 50 people came to buy the book and many stayed for my reading. A special thanks to Tony Armagost and Heidi Jeub for their hospitality. And to all who came, I felt so much love in these good friends and neighbors.
